Project SUCCESS

Program Description
Project Schools Using Coordinated Community Efforts to Strengthen Students (SUCCESS) is a school-based, multicomponent substance abuse prevention program that reduces risk factors for and increases protective factors against substance misuse among students ages 12-18. The program includes an eight-session prevention education series, individual and group counseling, a parent education program, and community referral to treatment or additional services for students as needed.

Training and Technical Assistance
Virtual or in-person trainings are available for $350, and these costs include the Implementation manual, optional Resource Manual, and optional Data Collection Log. Onsite group trainings are also available for $4,500 plus trainer travel and expenses. There is no cost to ask brief questions by phone or email, and more intensive phone and virtual consultations can be provided for $150 per hour.

Adaptations
Project SUCCESS can be translated into any language, and materials can be adapted to reflect the needs and preferences of participants. Other evidence-based substance use curricula can be substituted for Project SUCCESS’ Prevention Education Series if they are delivered by a Counselor. Providers can also choose to implement parts of the program (rather than the entire thing) if they choose.
